Erin DowlandErin is responsible for maximizing engagement, awareness and fundraising opportunities for the Organization.

Erin brings more than 14 years of nonprofit experience to her role. Prior to joining CURE she gained international experience working in Jamaica, Ukraine, Hungary, and Africa. Her time overseas created the opportunity to leverage her diplomatic and relationship-building skills, while integrating into new communities. She created sustainable capacity-building opportunities by providing strategic planning guidance and optimizing income streams. Prior to her time abroad, she worked with United Way of Metropolitan Chicago and cultivated relationships within a $6.5 million portfolio consisting of some of Chicago's leading companies. She lead that organization's first corporate-funded special initiative, which went on to receive a Ron Brown Presidential Award in 2007.

Erin attended University of Illinois at Chicago and studied Political Science. She enjoys traveling, volunteer work, hiking and wine tastings. She resides in the Near West Side of Chicago.

 

 

 

 

CURE CURE is a non-profit organization founded by mothers of children with epilepsy who joined forces to spearhead the search for a cure.
