CURE seeks novel research projects that will address the goals of “no seizures/no side effects.” This program awards grants to researchers submitting innovative proposals that will provide new directions for epilepsy therapy, prevention and, ultimately, a cure. We specifically encourage studies that may not be currently fundable by other agencies, such as the NIH, because of their preliminary or unconventional nature.

Eligibility: This first-time award will be presented to an established investigator exploring cutting-edge approaches to curing epilepsy. Preference will be given to research addressing the more severe and refractory syndromes of epilepsy.
International applicants are welcome.

Amount: Request may be made for up to $250,000 over 3 years.
