a. Collection of Personal Information. You may browse our Site without giving us any personally identifiable information about yourself. If you elect to register with CURE in order to join our mailing list and receive updates and additional information, you will be asked to provide personal information that may include among other things your name, address, e-mail address, phone number, and areas of interest. This information tells us about the people who use our Site, helps us tailor the Site to our audience, and allows us to better respond to you and your desired level of involvement with CURE. This information is securely stored internally and accessed only when we correspond with our mailing list periodically during the year, or when we are working to compile content and information for our Site that we think our audience might be interested in.
b. Use of Personally Identifiable Information. CURE will not sell or otherwise transfer or disclose your personally identifiable information to third parties except as may be required by federal, state or local law, or by exigent circumstances. We may use your personally identifiable information to compile and display content and information that we think you might be interested in. CURE also may use your profile information on an aggregate basis -- without personal identifiers -- to develop and display new features and content for the Site and to perform statistical analyses of user behavior (on an aggregate basis) in order to measure interest in and use of the various areas of the Site.
c. Online Donations. CURE collects the following information through our secure online donation page: name, address, e-mail address, phone number, and credit card information. This personally identifiable information is used to acknowledge receipt of your donation for your tax records and to include you on CURE’s mailing list. When you submit a contribution in honor or in memory of someone and request that an acknowledgement be sent to another individual or a family, we will use the name and address of that individual or family for acknowledgement purposes only.
d. Cookie Technology. CURE does not use “cookie” technology and/or Internet Protocol (“IP”) address tracking to collect or store user identification information.
f. Security of Information. CURE is committed to keeping user information secure, and uses industry standard SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption technology in an attempt to achieve that goal. CURE does not store online donors’ credit card numbers on its website or in its database.
g. Release of Information to Comply with Legal Requirements or Government Request. CURE reserves the right at all times to disclose any information uploaded to or appearing on the Site to the extent necessary to comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process, subpoena or governmental request.
