Craig AlbertCraig Albert

Craig C. Albert joined the CURE board in 2010. He is a partner and portfolio manager at Sheffield Asset Management, L.L.C., a Chicago-based investment management firm focused on long/short equity investing.

Albert has a close personal connection to epilepsy, as his brother Gregory has suffered from the disease since birth.  Through this experience, Albert has seen first-hand how damaging epilepsy can be to one’s quality of life. He also understands the challenges and burdens that epilepsy imposes on family members of those with epilepsy.

Albert graduated with high honors from Lehigh University in 1991, with degrees in Economics and International Relations.  He received his JD from New York University School of Law in 1994.  After law school, Albert practiced corporate law in New York City for two years.  In 1996, Albert joined Sanford C. Bernstein & Co. as an investment analyst.  In 2000, he was a partner at The Ospraie Fund, a hedge fund focused on long/short equity and commodities strategies. He is a CFA charterholder.

Albert resides in Chicago with his wife and their four children.
