Erin Dowland

Senior Manager, Development

As Senior Manager, she is responsible for managing partnerships and maximizing engagement, awareness and fundraising opportunities for the Organization.

Erin brings more than 15 years of nonprofit experience to her role. Prior to joining CURE she gained international experience working in Jamaica, Ukraine, Hungary, and Africa. Her time overseas created the opportunity to leverage her diplomatic and relationship-building skills, while integrating into new communities. She created sustainable capacity-building opportunities by providing strategic planning guidance and optimizing income streams. Prior to her time abroad, she worked with United Way of Metropolitan Chicago and cultivated relationships within a $6.5 million portfolio consisting of some of Chicago's leading companies. She lead that organization's first corporate-funded special initiative, which went on to receive a Ron Brown Presidential Award in 2007.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in liberal arts and sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago and is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Ukraine 2008-2011).
