The Director of Development is based in our Chicago headquarters and reports to the CEO. This position oversees all aspects of fundraising within CURE, fostering a culture of philanthropy to realize the organization’s mission of finding a cure for epilepsy. The Director is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising plan to grow revenues through corporate, foundation, government and individual giving; multi-channel direct appeals; cause-related marketing; signature events; and grassroots fundraising. Working closely with CEO, development team and board, the Director of Development guides efforts to identify and cultivate new prospects for supporting CURE, while at the same time strengthening relationships with current donors. This position will build a significant prospect base and assume responsibility for a fundraising goal.

The Senior Manager of Major Gifts is responsible for actively seeking new funding opportunities while developing strategies for increasing a broader base of donors to support the organization. This position is responsible for the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major donor prospects, inclusive of corporate, individual and foundation sources. Through the creation and implementation of systematic steps of engagement, the Senior Manager will cultivate donors making major gifts above $10,000. The Senior Manager will also be responsible for planning and executing proven engagement strategies that result in both donor retention and increased giving. This position will build a significant prospect base and assume responsibility for a fundraising goal.

The Digital Communications Manager is responsible for visually communicating CURE’s mission digitally and online, to strengthen CURE’s brand, raise its visibility in the epilepsy landscape, and articulate clear messaging to both internal and external constituencies. They will have ownership of CURE’s online presence, collaborate with all departments, and optimize user experience processes and communications to implement the organization’s communications strategies across all platforms. This position will be responsible for managing and fully leveraging the organization’s impact by designing, developing and executing impactful and compelling content to maximize exposure and increase the visibility, reputation, and fundraising potential of CURE.
