She chose the color purple because lavender is often associated with epilepsy\, symbolizing solitude and the struggles people with the condition often face. \nOn Purple Day\, people are encouraged to wear purple clothing or accessories\, organize events\, and share information about epilepsy to help spread awareness. The initiative has grown globally\, with participation from individuals\, schools\, organizations\, and businesses around the world.
