Andrew’s Story

I'm barely able to eat

I had my first grand mal seizure when I was 2 and after that they seemed either to continue on just not as noticeable. I’m 31 years old now and still suffer from seizures. I’ve had three operations to try to either stop or minimize the seizures by the help of VNS therapy but it doesn’t seem to help. It just seems the doctors just want to drug me up to the point where I’m barely able to eat cause of how big the pills are and how high the dosage of the medicine is. And also because of the medicine and how high the dosage is I sleep most the day and now family doctors have me marked as malnourished cause of not being able to really eat. I just hope that this next round of tests their gonna do in June will show that I’m a good candidate for the brain surgery to hopefully either stop the seizures all together or at least make it to where I rarely have them at all!
