Zach’s Story

Submitted by Zach’s mom, Kathy.

I am a very proud mom of one courageous son, Zach! He was diagnosed with epilepsy at age four. He is now 26 years old and has thankfully been seizure free for almost 9 months!

June 2019, Zach suffered from status epileptus. He was in intensive care on a ventilator for 10 days, then he made a very miraculous recovery. Zach had to learn to walk again with the help of an awesome therapist, Preston.

Today, with the coronavirus all over the world, Zach is home and has been for several weeks, with likely many more to come. He is handling this social distancing like a champion! We are so proud of Zach! We are grateful to Zach’s amazing neurologist, Dr. Margaret Tremwell, who is taking special care!!
