Scott Copeland

Board Member

M. Scott Copeland is a Principal of RST Development based in Rockville, Maryland and Virginia Beach, Virginia. RST Development is a family-owned and operated, multi-family development, management and construction firm that predominately serves moderate- to low- income households.

Scott and his wife, Jillian, have four sons and reside in Rockville, Maryland. Nicolas, their third son, was diagnosed with epilepsy at eight months old.

Nicolas’ unique life experiences have been the foundation of Scott’s family’s motivation to make a difference in the community, including the formation of the Diener School, a nurturing yet challenging environment for students with learning differences, in 2006. In addition, Scott and Jillian are currently in the planning stages of creating employment, housing and socialization opportunities for adults with special needs. A long-time supporter of epilepsy research, Scott has most recently been introducing new organizations to CURE and inspiring them to join our mission and get involved.
