Under the CARES Act, the tax benefits of donating are even greater.

The inclusion of increased charitable giving incentives as part of the CARES Act demonstrates the critical and essential work of nonprofits, such as CURE Epilepsy, by Congress. To support our mission of funding research to find a cure for epilepsy, your support is needed now more than ever.

For Individuals

  • For individuals who DO NOT itemize:  You can claim a new above the line charitable deduction for total cash donations of up to $300 ($600 for a married couple filing jointly).
  • For individuals who DO itemize:  The limit on the charitable deduction has been raised from 60% to 100% of your adjusted gross income for 2020.

For Corporations

  • The annual deduction limit has been raised from 10% to 25% of taxable net income
