Kristina Simeone, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Pharmacology and Neuroscience at Creighton University School of Medicine. Her research career has been devoted to understanding changes in the neurobiology and physiology of circuits during disease progression, specifically in epilepsy and sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP). The long-term goal of her lab is to identify mechanisms and biomarkers of autoresuscitation failure in SUDEP, and preventative strategies to improve the quality of life for and longevity of patients with epilepsy.
