Roger Heldman lives in Cincinnati with his wife of over 40 years, Julie Heldman. They have two children; Adam (who is married to Jamie and has two children) and Erin (who is married to Andrew Cooper and their daughter is one month old at the time of this writing).
Roger received his BA in Economics from The George Washington University. Roger was in the public safety uniform industry for much of his career. In 2018, Roger and Adam acquired H-M Company, a Cincinnati-based firm that distributes commercial laundry equipment, which Adam continues to lead. Roger retired in January 2024.
Roger has had epilepsy since childhood. He has been active in the epilepsy community for much of his adult life. He served on the board of the local affiliates of the Epilepsy Foundation in Cincinnati (in the 1980’s) and Seattle where he lived from 2000-2008. In 2009, Roger became a board member of the Epilepsy Foundation, in which he was active until 2023. He served as the Treasurer of the national organization for much of his tenure.
In the fall of 2024, in addition to joining the board of CURE Epilepsy, Roger is also scheduled to become a board member of The Nancy & David Wolf Holocaust & Humanity Center and the Mayerson Jewish Community Center.
