My name is Aminata Sarr and I’ve been epileptic since the age of 12. I’m 30 years old now.
It’s been a long road for me because I’ve never felt normal. Yes, I live a normal life, but I spent years trying to figure out what medication works for me (and still haven’t figured that out). I never got the experience of becoming a mother because of my disability and don’t know if I ever will.
I did graduate from college and did start a career but at one point I was having seizures on a regular basis to the point it effected my career.
Sometimes I wish I was normal but I know God put me here for a reason.
