Brianna Brodeur

Brianna can clearly recall the Fourth of July weekend at the beach when her family felt powerless as they watched her brother in the throes of his first seizure. Her brother, Harrison, was nine years old and already struggling with Regressive Autism. He would soon also be diagnosed with epilepsy. Since her brother’s diagnosis, Brianna has watched her family struggle with the financial and physical burdens of this disease. The EEF Scholarship will allow Brianna to attend college and use her passions for psychology and biology to gain a degree in Neuroscience, and ultimately become a physician. She intends to work to find effective treatments for those like her brother who are struggling with neurological disorders.
