Rare Disease Day

February 28

Rare Disease Day is all about raising awareness and generating change for the 300 million people worldwide living with a rare disease, their families and carers. Rare Disease Day is the official international awareness-raising campaign for rare diseases, observed annually on the last day of February. The primary goal of this campaign is to increase awareness among the general public and decision-makers about rare diseases and their influence on the lives of families living with these conditions.

Spread the word with the official Rare Disease Day social media graphics, available in many different languages.

Rare Disease Day was launched by EURORDISRare Diseases Europe and its Council of National Alliances in 2008.
