Nelson is running 26.2 miles to raise awareness and critical funds for the 1 in 26 Americans diagnosed with epilepsy. He is running especially for Jess, his late wife, and to raise awareness of and inspire action to stop SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy).
Jess lived a brilliant and beautiful life, full of lasting friendships, unbreakable family bonds, and unyielding service to others. The light of her life burned so bright and blessed so many, and it was cut too short in the fall of 2019 by SUDEP.
I cannot thank you deeply enough for your support in helping find ways to cure epilepsy and end SUDEP in honor of Jess.
