When my son was just five years old, he was diagnosed with epilepsy. Like so many families, we were suddenly thrown into a world of uncertainty, doctor visits, medications, and questions about what the future would hold.
While we are incredibly grateful that his seizures are now controlled with medication, the journey hasn’t been easy. Epilepsy doesn’t just affect one moment — it affects daily life, brings constant vigilance, and carries the weight of the unknown. Today, he is 11 years old and doing well. I’m running for CURE Epilepsy in honor of my son, whose strength and resilience inspire me every day.
