My name is Carmelle. I had my first seizure when I was 15, and I had been diagnosed with different chronic illnesses throughout the years. It was troubling to navigate high school, and I had to persevere by graduating online. I was diagnosed with epilepsy at the age of 20, and that is when my seizures started to increase. My journey and hope for a cure mean the world to me, as it would allow me to live a normal day-to-day lifestyle without feeling a sense of loss. I do not want to feel left out, and I would love to participate in a normal lifestyle as a 21-year-old.
