Lora’Ann Williams is a joyful 4-year-old twin living in Oklahoma. She experienced her first seizure at just one year old and was initially diagnosed with febrile seizures. After numerous ER visits and extensive medical evaluations, genetic testing was eventually recommended. This led to a diagnosis of PCDH-19 epilepsy—a rare and complex genetic condition. Despite the challenges, Lora’Ann has defied the odds. She is currently on two medications and has been seizure-free for the past four months. Remarkably, she has remained on track developmentally and recently completed her first year of pre-kindergarten. Lora’Ann continues to thrive and live a happy, active life.
