At 14 months old, I had my first febrile seizure. Eleven years later, I had my first grand mal seizure and by thirteen, I was officially diagnosed with epilepsy. Although epileptic is one word that can be used to describe me, it does not define me.
I have never allowed seizures to limit, alter, or diminish my dreams. Epilepsy has shaped parts of my journey, but it has never stopped me from moving forward or reaching higher.
I’m also a mom to a beautiful and independent three‑year‑old, and I want her to grow up knowing that the only limits we have are the ones we set for ourselves.
