The need for a cure to epilepsy is clear.
Today more than 3 million Americans suffer from epilepsy. Two of the three
million Americans with epilepsy do not have complete seizure control, or
only experience seizure control at the cost of debilitating side effects
from medications.
Epilepsy affects more people than multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy,
muscular dystrophy, and Parkinson's disease combined. Historically, medical
research on epilepsy by the federal government has been drastically
under-funded. CURE is dedicated to
finding a cure for epilepsy by raising funds for research and by increasing
awareness of the prevalence and devastation of this disease.
Help CURE continue to fund epilepsy research.
There are many ways you can help fund epilepsy research:
- Plan a local fundraiser to raise money for epilepsy research
- Double your donation through your employers’ corporate matching program
- Make a donation to CURE in honor or in memory of someone special
