For many people living with drug-resistant epilepsy, brain stimulation offers life-changing hope by reducing seizures. Today, finding the right settings and brain location for each individual often relies on trial and error, taking months or even years to maximize benefit. This research aims to remove that guesswork. By using advanced MRI technology, this team can look deeper into the brain’s unique wiring and structure than ever before. Combining these high-resolution brain maps with real-time measurements of how the brain responds to stimulation will help us create personalized, safer, and faster treatments—giving people with epilepsy more effective relief, sooner.
