For over 25 years, we have funded and promoted epilepsy research that will transform and save the lives of people living with epilepsy. Our motivation has always come from, and continues to be inspired by, our loved ones.
Since the beginning, we have faced many challenges, all of which have served to strengthen our resolve. Most recently, during the COVID pandemic, we committed to supporting and sustaining epilepsy labs and researchers — whether CURE Epilepsy-funded or not — through that unsettling period of shut-downs and disruption.
Today, once again, we find ourselves filled with uncertainty.
For the foreseeable future, government support and priorities for medical research are unknown. But CURE Epilepsy remains unwavering in our commitment.
We pledge to you that we will continue to do everything in our power to sustain the progress we have made toward cures and better therapies for epilepsy patients. And we will do everything in our capacity, as the largest nonprofit funder of epilepsy research, to continue to move this field forward.
As the challenges and opportunities ahead of us reveal themselves more clearly, we will navigate them together. Rest assured that our dedication to supporting our scientists in their quest to make meaningful discoveries is unwavering.
During this critical time, we may need and ask more of you than ever before and we hope you will continue to stand with us in our deep commitment to those whose lives are touched by epilepsy.
With sincere gratitude,
Susan Axelrod
