World Autism Awareness Day

World Autism Awareness Day is recognized internationally on April 2 every year, encouraging awareness and support for people with autistic spectrum disorders throughout the world.

Autism and epilepsy are often interconnected: it is estimated that over 30% of people with epilepsy also meet the diagnostic criteria for autism spectrum disorder,¹ a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects social communication and restrictive and repetitive interests.
