Operations Assistant, Research

As Research Operations Assistant, Terri supports Post-Traumatic Epilepsy initiative events and general research administrative projects.

Terri is the former Executive Director of the James Tyree Foundation and spent 18 years at Mesirow Financial, most recently as a Vice President in the Chairman’s Office.

Terri has a passion for serving her community. She is a former director of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Berks County, PA. She was also a Big Sister through its Chicago program. Having a friend with diabetes and witnessing his struggles with the disease, Terri was motivated to help in the diabetes space by serving on JDRF’s Board of Directors, being part of its Executive Committee, and working as the Chairman of its Nominating Committee. In addition, Terri was a volunteer for Fish of Berks County, PA, an organization serving the disabled and elderly in need of transportation. With a desire to help the under-served in the educational sector, Terri served for almost 20 years as a Director of the Kevin Shannon Foundation, an organization providing college scholarships for students in Chicagoland. She also served as its secretary.

Terri has worked for CURE in several capacities since 2016 and is honored to be a permanent part of the premier organization in epilepsy research.
